Mainly, the surfboard manufacturing procedure is divided into three processes, which is shaping, glassing and sanding.

At ‘FILTER’ the student will learn all of those manufacturing processes step by step from professional instructors. We use the advanced world highest level of techniques and practical methods.

Although there are numbers of surfboard factories in Sydney, it is not easy to find a job without a skill or a recommendation by right people. Therefore, at “FILTER’ we introduce a paid internship to graduate students if they wish to. It will help to start the greatest career after finished the course. The applicants must hold a valid Australian student visa or working holiday visa to obtain paid internship by Australian law.

We can help students to find accommodations or even pick-up from airport.

The ‘FILTER’ is located at Mona Vale (NSW Australia), which is the center of surf industry in Australia. Naturally it is only 5 minutes from the famous surf spot.

    サーフボード業界の内情を知らない方が多いと思いますのでサーフボード工場で働くクラフトマンの給料について書かせて頂きます。基本的にシドニーのサーフボードの工場は歩合制が多いのですが平均して1時間、約$30税金込み(約2800円)くらい貰えていると思います。もちろん個人差はあると思いますが私が知っている10年以上サーフボードを作っているベテランのサンディングマンは1時間$60から多いときで1時間$120を稼いでいます。自分でブランドを起こしシェイパーとしてやっていければもちろん金額は変わってきますし数は未知数ですが。
